Szabolcs Nagy – chef
I consider myself a bold traditionalist! I make friends with everything new, but I also think of the flavours of home. Only fresh, locally grown vegetables and meats from small producers fuel my work. I only cook with impeccable ingredients for my family, and therefore for my guests! We know that variety is the spice of life, and I love surprises! Before you even try anything at my place, I offer you a taste of my own bread! Enjoy your meal!

As an eternal rebel, I do not believe in conventions. With a long family history as restaurateurs, I respect tradition, but I always bring something new and unexpected to my work, which is refreshing and keeps me going. I am uncompromising when it comes to quality, both in food and wine. I believe that a wine and food pairing is perfection itself, opening up a new universe. Here, 1+1 never becomes two, but a unit when something completely new is created. For me, the love of wine and grapes is a never-ending romance and learning, a ” relationship ” that is always changing and evolving, becoming bigger and bigger.
As a Hungarian sommelier, I believe and profess that Tokaj is the centre of the world.

I feel lucky because my hobby is also my profession. And that is, as the Hungarian language puts it nicely: hospitality. I would like to exhaust this complex activity as if I were doing it in my own home. I do not serve. As one of the last of the Mohicans, I represent everything that the word expresses. With outstanding compositions in my hand, I add something extra to the sublime dinner that makes a memorable visit for our guests. A dinner is like a concert: we perform a beautifully composed piece. I sing, but it needs a good drummer and a synthesizer player. I do all this with old-fashioned professional humility and respect. I recommend myself!
Food and drinks
Our kitchen is available from noon, when you can choose from our daily changing lunch menu and some of our regular à la carte dishes, until 3pm. From 4pm you can enjoy the full evening á la carte menu until we close the doors.

Dear Guests!
Booking in advance is highly recommended, especially in the evenings. Please note that we are closed on Sundays and Mondays to allow us to prepare for the rest of the week. We look forward to welcoming you from Tuesday to Saturday!

Our daily lunch menu is available every day between 12:00-15:00, and our regular menu is available from 16:00 – 22:00.
Our kitchen closes every day at 22:00, after which we are running light,
but you can still drop in for a glass of wine.
